Being a part of the Boston film community is something that the team at Talamas takes pride in. We have supported many local filmmakers and most recently students showing their creations at the Independent Film Festival Boston. The Student Showcase celebrated the future of filmmaking when the best student films from Boston University, Emerson College, Endicott College, Fitchburg State University, Lesley University, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Middlesex Community College, Suffolk University, and Wheaton College competed in a juried showcase at the most recent festival.
Eleanor Levine of Wheaton College took home the prize package for her take on a relationship piece inspired by French New Wave, spoken in French with English subtitles. Included in her prize package was a $500 rental certificate from Talamas so that Eleanor can continue her pursuits with the help of our experienced team. The Showcase was a truly wonderful way to engage with the local student filmmakers, encourage them in their work and build community locally. Weโre excited to be working with young talent from Boston and beyond!
